Scope of Course – understanding why asbestos is dangerous and the different types of asbestos, how and where asbestos is used, asbestos and the law, emergency procedures and how to avoid the risks of asbestos.

    Level 3 approved QCF qualification – Credit value 2

    Scope of Course– risk assessment, safe working practices and control measures, procedures for reporting and controlling defects,

    personal and respiratory protective equipment, hygiene procedures, waste handling, work requiring a licence, asbestos legislation,

    asbestos sampling techniques and working safely with asbestos.

    Duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises (two days)

    Level 3 approved QCF qualification – Credit value 2

    Scope of Course - This course provides advice on the duties under regulation 4 of the Asbestos Regulations to manage the risk from asbestos

    Course content – types of asbestos, checking competency of surveyors, how to survey for asbestos, types of survey, what should be in a report and interpreting the report.
